Rainwater Systems

What is Rainwater Harvesting?

Rainwater is one of Earth's most precious resources and soon to be one of man's most sought after commodities.  Each year thousands of gallons of rainwater run off our rooftops and properties. Rainwater harvesting is a way to capture, store, and use rainwater within your home or landscape. Rainwater harvesting can vary from a simple barrel or vase at the bottom of your downspout to a larger tank with a focus on utilizing 100% of your rainwater. Choosing which system is right for you depends on the size of your home or business and how you wish to use your rainwater.

What are the Benefits of Harvesting Rainwater?

Irrigation is definitely the top use people have for gathering rainwater, but it can also be used for laundry or toilets and can even be made potable for drinking water. Beyond these daily functions it can provide, harvesting rainwater can also reduce flooding, water erosion on your home, and your impact on the water usage of your neighborhood and city.

Can any Home or Company get a Harvesting System?

Yes! Rainwater harvesting is beneficial to any home or business because rain is sometimes seen as a problem, and to be able to utilize it helps minimize flash flooding on your property. We gather the rainwater at peak storm moments and then release the water into your landscape at a slower rate, reducing the load on the public storm water systems and on your yard. You will also be helping the environment as rainwater harvesting reduces warm water, which hits assault and runs into streams and lakes, carrying the oil and gas from parking lots and roads into our ecosystems. Your rainwater system harvests those waters instead and removes the pollutants to help you and your community in more than one way.

Types of Rainwater Systems

We offer above ground and underground rainwater systems. Whether your concerns are aesthetics or maximum rainwater usage, we have you covered. Let us help you reduce your water bill, conserve local water resources, and be more self-sufficient in your home.

Rainwater vases are the most decorative way to store your rainwater. Our vases’ capacity varies from 60 to 120 gallons. While vases and planters don't offer as much water storage as other systems, they come in a variety of colors making them beautiful additions to your home.

Our barrels and larger cisterns offer 200 to 1200 gallons of rainwater storage above ground. These barrels also come in a variety of sizes and colors and are used to capture and store the greatest amount of roof water possible. The cisterns use gravity to allow rainwater to flow out of the bottom of the tank when so desired.
